 Pearl Restringing & KnottingNot only do we sell pearls but we can re-string your pearls for you! Re-stringing is done by hand and can take as little as 1-2 days to complete. We work with other jewellers to re-string pearls for them and of course take many custom stringing requests. Our restringing quality is second to none!
Re-stringing your pearls are done by hand using silk cord and French wire (it is a fine metal tube that protects the cord at the point it attaches to the clasp). We consult with you on any changes you might want as well as advise you on changes we would recommend - often
we find new sets of pearls that have broken at the clasp as french wire wasn't used. This simple material is critical to ensuring the restringing lasts. Given many people want to pass on their pearls or preserve 'grans' pearls, we take the utmost care to ensure you are happy with the end result.
The Bead Company is also able to re-string other types of beads and although pearls are the most common, the knotting technique is suitable for gemstones, Czech glass and Swarovski crystals.
