 Shop / LocationThe Bead Company is the largest bead shop in Scotland and from what we have been told, in Europe. Many of our customers tell us how nice it is to have room to browse. Coffee & tea are available for free and you are welcome to use our beading tables. We even have magazines and chairs for the lads! We often have treats to keep the weans occupied as well - just ask!
We are conveniently located in Glasgow's West End. Make a day of shoppng for beads, enjoying the world famous Kelvingrove museum (10 minute walk), a walk through the Botanic Gardens or browsing the shops on Byres Road & Dumbarton Road.

By train: The nearest train stop to the Bead Company is Partick train Station and we are a 10 minute walk - at a leisurely pace! You can get a train from Glasgow Central or Queen Street Station direct to Partick Station. It is a 7 minute journey to Partick.
By Underground (SPT): The Glasgow underground is a big loop and any stop will get you to the nearest stop of Kelvinhall. We are a 2 minute walk from the Kelvinhall underground stop. When exiting the station make a right, walk down the hall and you will come to Dumbarton Road. Make a right turn onto Dumbarton Road and then walk to 2 blocks. On your left you will see a Tesco Express and a Comet - use the cross walk to cross over the street and make your first left after Tesco; this is now Keith Street and we are just 30m from Dumbarton Road - look for our sign!
By Bus: If you come into Glasgow City Centre (Buchanon Bus Station) you can take the 747 to Partick/Merkland Street. This is the main interchange for the City Centre and in the West End. Likewise this bus also stops along Dumbarton Road so you can get off once you pass Byres Road. The bus stops directly in from of Carlton Bingo at Mansfield Park. Walk 1 minute toward the Tesco Express and Comet and Keith Street in between these two shops.
